The files produced by Question Tools are encrypted to make sure that students and others who might take a test cannot view the file and discover the correct answers. The custom encryption method within Question Tools is very secure, dynamic and fast.

From version 2 compression has been added to the files, and they have been further encoded in a format that allows them to be sent by email without corrupting. However, the encryption underneath is just as strong.

While opinions vary, there is an approach that can be used to break all computer-based encryption methods. It requires expertise, but it is possible.
