NetSeries User Groups

User groups can be used to filter results, so that only results for a particular user group are shown. They can also determine which logged-on users get to see and take which content — although this depends upon whether user groups are set to determine access to content in the Settings->Rights options.

To create a new user group press the New button, and then the Create User Group button.

Owners determines which tutors have the right to edit the user group. Again, this depends upon the settings in the Settings->Rights options, as tutors can be set to have rights over all content. All learning managers and above can see all user groups.

The most efficient way of allocating content to users is to add courses to the Content available to members. If you add a course then all of the tests, surveys and lessons in the course become available to users who are members of the user group.
