www.questiontools.com
CreateYou can create your lesson, survey or test so it can be run by your users in a variety of ways.
Pages for a web browser. If you create your test as a set of web pages then you can copy these pages to any web server, and your students can take your test using a web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, Mozilla, AOL, FireFox or Opera. The one drawback with this method is that it does not allow you to collect results—only the user sees results. Content for Question Tools Net Series. If you have access to one of the NetSeries webservers, such as NetTest or NetResult, then you can create your lesson, survey or test as a single file. You can then select and upload it from the Content page once you have logged on to NetTest, NetResult or which ever version you have. Banks for Question Tools Exam. Your test or lesson can be created as a single, encrypted file (which you can password protect). Users will need the free Question Tools Exam software installed on their computer to take your test or lesson. Users can save their results as a file which they can email back to you. Standalone Application. This will create your test or lesson as a single executable file (.exe). This allows you to pass it to your users and they will be able to take your lesson or test regardless or whether they have Question Tools Exam or a web browser installed. Users can save their results as a file which they can email back to you. One disadvantage is that computer and network administrators often stop executable files being distributed in case they contain viruses or Trojan horses. SCORM Content Package for compliant LMSs. You can find out more about this option here. Active Web Pages. These active pages an save results on PHP-enabled web servers, although NetSeries is recommended as the best approach to collecting results. Click here to find out more about collecting results using Active Web Pages. Expert Review is available only in the Developer Edition. If selected it turns on the Show Answer and Mark buttons, automatically inserts the correct answers into questions, removes any time limits, and turns off any randomization. Its purpose is to produce tests that an expert in the area can check to ensure that the answers are correct, without removing randomization and other features that are needed for the test when taken for real. It was introduced in version 3.0.15. |
